Island Wedding at Diamond’s Edge
Katie and Sean along with Katie’s mom made many trips from Colorado to plan their Maine island wedding in August. One thing that you can never guarantee is the weather. Well, it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day on Great Diamond Island. The setting was gorgeous. From the ceremony on the lawn to the paper lanterns launched at send-off, it was a picturesque setting for their special day.
We started off the day with Casco Bay Lines ferry service which is always so very helpful transporting our equipment to and from the islands. Paul D arrived first to perform solo keyboards for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Diamond’s Edge had the most amazing setup for the ceremony where the wedding party, Katie, her Dad and Best Dog walked in. Starting with “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz for Katie and Sean’s first dance, dining and dancing continued until it was time for Katie and Sean to leave by water taxi. What a memorable day, congratulations!

They played very casual, elegant music during the dinner portion of the reception. It was the perfect volume as to not over power any dinner conversation. Following dinner it was a matter of seconds before people joined on the dance floor and at the end of the night our crowd was begging for another encore.
Each member of the band is so talented and you can tell they love what they do. I can’t forget to mention how wonderful Johnna is at the organization and communication aspect. It was so easy and worry-free from beginning to end.
I 100% recommend Wavelength. I wish we could do it all over again because I had the time of my life. Thank you Johnna and the members of Wavelength!
Eileen and Walter Marry in Portland
Eileen and Walter were married in Portland on June 2nd. You would never know that it was raining cats and dogs during the entire wedding reception by the cozy and classy celebration at the Portland Club with Black Tie Co. You might have read about Eileen and Walter’s wedding plans in one of our recent question and answer blog posts. What a sweet couple! Their first dance song was a song by Ray Lamontagne that we play and both the father/daughter and mother/son songs came from our play list so it was our absolute pleasure to learn Come On Eileen for the bride. They danced and danced all night. Their Maine destination wedding celebration was absolutely beautiful and a total blast. We wish them all the best in their new home.
