While performing together for over 13 years, Wavelength has been the band of choice for many weddings, private parties, corporate events and special occasions. The band’s instrumentation consists of  keyboards, guitar, bass guitar, percussion and five outstanding lead vocalists with Kathleen as the lead female vocalist and emcee. Johnna is Wavelength’s manager and event coordinator. Meet the band:

Kathleen Campbell – Lead Vocals

Kathleen began her career by singing and playing her guitar in the Old Port. This eventually turned into a duo with an additional guitar player and she began performing during wedding ceremonies and playing at colleges in the area. “What is most important to me about music is its ability to make people smile and bring them together in celebration. I enjoy being part of that.”

 

Paul French – Lead Guitar/Vocals

Paul has been playing the guitar for more than 35 years. He had been teaching private lessons in Portland at Buckdancer’s Choice for many years before deciding to go back to school.  Paul played his first wedding reception in 1982 and graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 1991. In 1993 he embarked on a solo career which resulted in the release of two CD’s. Paul founded Wavelength in 1998.

Paul Dionne – Keyboards/Vocals

Paul’s debut on the music scene goes back to 1976 where he played piano/keyboards everywhere from the high school dance scene to the opening of the Cumberland County Civic Center. He’s played just about every genre of music there is with a resume that includes an impressive list of bands. Paul takes great pride in delivering the highest quality of music.

 Alex Gingrich – Drums/Vocals

Alex has been playing drums & percussion since the 5th grade. Born into a musical family, he began in the school band and was awarded the Louis Armstrong Award for outstanding Jazz Musician at his commencement. In the past 32 years, Alex has played everything from pit orchestra for South Pacific and original blues-rock to punk music.  Alex is a seasoned professional in every way.

 

Garth Adams – Bass Guitar/Vocals

Garth has been playing bass guitar for over 35 years and has a variety of influences over those years. His background includes playing in blues, disco, country and original rock and roll bands as well as having played for several years in the San Francisco Bay area. Garth has had the pleasure of opening for and meeting Dolly Parton, NRBQ, John Lee Hooker and Sleepy LeBeef to name a few.

 

Johnna Dionne – Manager

Johnna is our contact person for Wavelength. She works closely with Wavelength’s clients to coordinate timely details, song selections and special requests to provide personalized attention to every Wavelength performance. She brings her marketing background, sales, event planning and customer service experience to the band after many years in the corporate field.
