Summer Wedding at Seven Tree Pond
Charlie’s family property on Seven Tree Pond is such a beautiful natural setting so it is no surprise that Sara and Charlie chose it as the backdrop for their summer wedding celebration. Guests gathered lakeside for the i-do’s and the rest was an incredible par-tay! Their sweet and friendly nature contributed to the relaxed vibe of the day and when the sun started to set, Sara and Charlie’s dinner tent turned into a hopping dance floor. It was a day with beautiful details, pops of color from the wedding party, a lakeside ceremony with a cool recessional from Talking Heads, a wonderful family-style dinner prepared by Trillium Catering and one incredible dance party made more memorable by these two amazing people.
Paul French played acoustic guitar for the ceremony with Canon in D and Trumpet Voluntary for the processionals. The band played during cocktail hour and started the reception off with their first dance, “Tupelo Honey”, after introductions. Following dinner, the party started with “In My Life” for Sara and her uncle and “Your Song” for Charlie and his mom. Sara and Charlie had a few requests including two new ones for the band,Party in the USA and ABBA for the moms which turned out to be big hits. We got a kick out of the guests when we announced an earlier bus for those that didn’t want to stay late. No one even thought about leaving. That’s how awesome this crowd was. We are excited to share their gorgeous wedding photos by Emily MacCabe Photography here. Emily was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. So glad she stayed with us for the dance party. Sara and Charlie, thanks for bringing us to Seven Tree Pond with you!

We are pleased to share Sara and Charlie’s review on The Knot and Wedding Wire with you:
“If you never want your guests to leave the dance floor, you want Wavelength to play at your wedding!! Wavelength provided amazing music for our reception, as well as our ceremony and cocktail hour. Our guests could not say enough great things about the band — more than one person said they were the best wedding band they’d ever heard (and we agree!) We had the band play acoustic guitar for our ceremony (the guitarist learned a song especially for our recessional), light music for the cocktail hour, and full party music for our reception! They even played “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” in its entirety near the end of the reception, which was just beyond. All of our guests were on the dance floor, and so impressed by how they rocked it out! A highlight of our day for sure 🙂 The band members were all friendly, and so invested in making sure our day was exactly how we envisioned it. Lindsay was an amazing MC (and singer!), and Johnna, their manager, was a joy to work with throughout the planning process. She helped us so much along the way with the timeline, song selection, and many of the little details we would have forgotten about, and she was quick to respond quickly to any questions or concerns we had – which is such a plus for busy brides. The entire experience of working with Wavelength was fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone getting married in Maine!”
