Simply Elegant Lakeside Wedding

Adam and Hannah were living in Vermont when they decided to make this beautiful spot on Green Lake their lakeside wedding location. It was a wonderful summer day to celebrate on the family property where Adam spent many childhood summers. The private residence provided the backdrop for a simply elegant, lakeside wedding in Dedham, Maine. We have driven by this area many times on our way to MDI and just down the road from the Lucerne Inn where guests were staying but tucked away from the main road. Just the ideal location for a casual, laid-back wedding with a lobster bake and a ton of fun!

Adam and Hannah chose “Life Is Better With You” by Micheal Franti for their first dance. What a great song! Covering parent dance songs played by the band, Adam and Hannah’s mom and dad asked for “My Wish” for the father/daughter dance and “In My Life” for the mother/son dance. To add their personal touch, a few song requests from the parents of the bride and groom included Van Morrison, The B52’s, Kenny Chesney/Pink, Marvin Gaye and the favorite one of the night, Mustang Sally. (We might have played an extended version for Hannah’s mom.)
