Colony Hotel Wedding in Kennebunkport
It started out gray, windy, and warnings of a passing hurricane for Drew and Sam’s Colony Hotel wedding in Kennebunkport. By the time the band arrived at The Colony Hotel to setup for the ceremony, full on sunny skies and warm temps hit the scene. Funny how September weather in Maine can change so quickly. It worked out great for Drew and Sam! We are so happy that they chose our band to play for their beautiful and incredibly fun wedding at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport and danced the night away with us. Molly and Kate from Molly Breton and Co captured it all on camera!
One of the most classic oceanfront resorts in Southern Maine, the Colony Hotel provided a beautiful setting for this couple. From the oceanfront ceremony and cocktail party with Paul on acoustic guitar, glam of the gold dresses, to the grand dining room reception with those memorable dance moves, Drew and Sam nailed it. It was unforgettable!
Drew and Sam’s wedding music
Ceremony music performed by Paul on guitar included ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri for the bride processional and ‘Ho Hey’ by The Lumineers for the recessional. Drew and Sam’s first dance song, ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’, was performed in the style from Crazy Rich Asians. We learned ‘A Whole New World’ from Aladdin and performed as a duo for Sam and her dad’s father/daughter dance. ‘Landslide’ by Fleetwood Mac, one of the favorite songs this year, was played for Drew’s mother/son dance. We had to include Bruce Springsteen in the dance mix for our NJ bride and of course, we started with September.
