A curated bridal show in Portland

The first Beswoon Bridal Show was a success! The curated bridal show was held at the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel in Portland, Maine on March 8th. Wavelength was one of the vendors chosen to participate in the Modern Coastal Romance room. It was an honor to collaborate on the room design with such a talented group of wedding professionals.

With this new bridal show concept, brides and grooms were able to experience three different rooms designed by the vendors. The three rooms featured were Modern Coastal Romance, Rustic Elegance and Gatsby Glamour. Guests had the opportunity to visit each room, speak to potential wedding vendors, taste the food, hear the music, try on jewelry and take away inspiration for their upcoming wedding. The show started off with cocktail hour followed by a fashion show in the ballroom with the latest trends for brides, grooms and their wedding party based on the room themes. Guests were then able to spend the rest of the afternoon in the three rooms.

The band set the tone for an exciting afternoon of wedding planning. It was not your typical bridal show! We performed three sets of cocktail, dinner and dance music to give the feel of a real wedding. We were thrilled to meet and chat with newly engaged couples and two of our clients for the upcoming summer wedding season. It was the first time for many to see the band in action.

The blue lighting, lucite chairs, table settings, gorgeous flowers and programs just made this room so romantic and modern! Everything tied the coastal theme together. It felt like we were at a real wedding. It definitely added that element when we arrived early for hair and make up, how fun! The showcase ended for us with a group photo outside.
