There is no setting more beautiful than a Maine wedding. During the festive month of December, downtown Portland has the most incredible holiday light displays that can been seen for blocks. Molly and Will chose Mariner’s Church Banquet Center in Portland to host their wedding reception and it sparkled inside and out with their love and beauty of the season. It was truly an honor to personalize their soundtrack for this celebration.
With warm temps and the lack of that blanket of snow, this December Portland wedding felt more like late Fall but the gorgeous wrap and black bridesmaid dresses were so perfectly winter. We are happy to share a few of Molly and Will’s images here by DNA Photography.
There were smiles and a few happy tears during Molly and Will’s very emotional toasts. What sweethearts!
We were pretty excited when we first spoke to Molly and Will. Not only are they super sweet, we knew that their taste in music was a perfect fit for Wavelength. They chose for their first dance, ‘This Kind Of Love’ by Sister Hazel. “This kind of love its what I dreamed about”. Wonderful lyrics covered by Al on vocals and Paul D on keys.
Molly and her dad chose ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ for their Father/Daughter dance and Will and his mom picked ‘A Song For My Son’ for their Mother/Son dance.
These kids enjoyed themselves on and off the dance floor! What a cute group!
We played Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ for Molly and Will’s niece and flower girl for her 10th birthday. Personalizing the entertainment can be the best way to add a unique reflection of your new marriage with family and friends. It was truly a special wedding celebration for us all.
