Spring Samoset Resort Wedding

Amanda and Matt were engaged in South Carolina aboard a sailboat and what better place to bring everyone together for a destination wedding than the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine. With love and fog in the air, they had the most amazing wedding day that we could ever imagine to kick off wedding season 2016. With Melissa Mullen Photography, Amanda and Matt captured many memories that were made from pre-ceremony to the last dance of the night. And, oh what a night!

When it came time to plan their destination wedding, saying “I do” seaside in Maine was perfect. After  poking around on the internet for a band, Amanda found Wavelength and instantly loved the sound.  It turns out, her future mother and sister-in law were just at Mary and Chris’s wedding in Maine that weekend where Wavelength was playing. We couldn’t have timed that any better! The wedding party and guests really helped make the night memorable. Such an adorable couple and just the sweetest. Look at all the smiles! It was so much fun to play for them.

Wavelength performed solos for their ceremony and cocktail hour before the band joined everyone for the tented reception.

It stayed foggy but no rain. Amanda and Matt chose “Beautiful Day” to enter and it certainly was beautiful in every way. Amanda and Matt danced to “When You Need Me from the Boss for their first dance. Once the formalities were done, it was all about the dancing and what better song choice to start off than, “Shut Up and Dance”.

Lucky for us, we were able to reconnect on the dance floor with Chris and his parents and team up with Melissa Mullen Photography again. This has been an incredible season and we couldn’t be more grateful for the recommendation from friends. What a blast we had with Amanda and Matt.

Amanda’s review as seen on The Knot: “If you want your guests dancing all night long with huge smiles on their faces, YOU WANT THIS BAND TO PLAY AT YOUR WEDDING!! Wavelength provided the perfect background music for not only our reception, but for the ceremony and cocktail hour as well. They were the hit of our wedding! We got so many compliments in regards to the band and we cannot say enough good things about them! We had them play piano for our ceremony, guitar and light music for the cocktail hour, and then rock out for our reception! They were even up for learning a new song for us to play as our opening number for the dancing at our reception. The band members all had great personalities, were friendly and sounded AMAZING! Also, Johnna, their manager, was super easy to work with and helped us so much along the way with the planning. She helped make our planning a wedding from a distance (we live in NC and GA) so much less stressful than it could have been. She was easy to contact and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. The entire experience working with her and this band was fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone getting married in the Maine area!
