Check out our public schedule and join the dance party! Here’s a recent live clip of “Rolling In The Deep” from Zackery’s Lounge this Spring:
Dance With Your Mom
Having a hard time chosing a mother/son dance for your wedding? Some clients know exactly what song to play while others struggle with it. It can be difficult to find just the right song. The average time for a special song is right around 2 to 2 1/2 minutes long. Some of our clients combine a mother/son and father/daughter dance. Here’s several that we suggest from our play list that have been played in the past and will be included in our 2012 wedding season:
My Wish, Rascall Flats
Never Alone, Lady Antebellum
Have I Told You Lately, Van Morrison
I’ll Stand By You, The Pretenders
What A Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
In My Life, The Beatles
Mingling Music For Cocktail Hour
Everyone loves cocktail hour. It’s the kickoff to your celebration that will set the tone for the night. It’s also more of a laid-back setting for guests to mingle while you take photos or catch-up with out-of-town guests. Easy listening music is a great addition to cocktail hour. We can help you set the bar high. Before the band kicks off the reception music, consider adding an ensemble to jazz up the pre-party atmosphere. Here are samples from Wavelength’s guitarist and pianist.

Live Music!
Not only are live bands fun to dance to but they are fun to watch as well. A dynamic wedding and function band will engage your friends, family and guests to capture the feeling of excitement and celebration for a memorable event with a lot of energy. It’s all about celebrating and making happy memories. With a good mix of hits from yesterday to today, a live band will add just the right touch for dinner music to a rocking dance party. Here’s six new clips from a dance set recently recorded LIVE with all five Wavelength musicians singing lead that we wanted to share. Hope you enjoy!
Father/Daughter dance
Father’s Day weekend brings popular father/daughter dance song My Girl by the Temptations as pick for Saturday’s wedding. We will be performing a combination slow dance by Joe Cocker into fast dance by Van Morrison for Friday’s wedding which will be fun. We had a request for the same sort of mix last year with a slow song moving into a real fun dance song for the bride and her dad. Classics are a favorite as well as current country music selections. We’ve just learned a new one by Lady Antebellum which is called Never Alone to play in August. There’s always something unique and special for each wedding and Wavelength is always happy to customize each and every one to help capture those memories of a lifetime in the music that we perform. If you’re looking for ideas for your father/daughter dance, here are several popular requests:
Have I Told You Lately by Van Morrison
What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker
You Are The Sunshine Of My Life by Stevie Wonder
I Loved Her First by Heartland
My Wish by Rascal Flatts

Live music from NYE
Here are a few live clips from Wavelength ringing in 2011 at Sid Tripp’s Black Cat Ball in Portland. Don’t mind the popping sounds you hear. Some of these songs were recorded after the balloon drop at the stroke of midnight where hundreds of balloons fell to the dance floor among two hundred party goers. Sid Tripp’s Black Cat Ball was a lot of fun! We enjoyed ringing in the new year with our fans, clients and many new friends. Enjoy the clips!
